A “Brilliant” Morning with St Andrew’s School in London!

What a smashing morning we had on Tuesday 21st October 2025! Our fifth-year class at Maria Ausiliatrice connected live with our new friends from St Andrew’s School in Uxbridge, London UK — and what a lively bunch they were!

The class at St Andrew’s was quite big (and very chatty, just like us!), and we absolutely loved speaking English together. Thanks to all our Cambridge Movers exam practice, we were ready to ask loads of questions about life in London — from the weather to what they eat for lunch (apparently not everyone eats pasta every day… shocking, we know!).

We also talked about favourite hobbies, sports and even school uniforms — though we’re still not sure how they manage to wear ties every day without getting them stuck in their sandwiches.

The video call was such a success that everyone was smiling from ear to ear by the end. We can proudly say our first international meeting with St Andrew’s School was a wonderful experience, full of laughter, curiosity and new friendships.

We truly hope this is just the beginning of our London collaboration with St Andrew’s School — next time, maybe we’ll even teach them how to say ciao like real Italians!

Che mattinata fantastica abbiamo trascorso martedì 21 ottobre 2025! La nostra classe di quinta della scuola Maria Ausiliatrice si è collegata in diretta con i nostri nuovi amici della St Andrew’s School di Uxbridge, a Londra (Regno Unito) — e che gruppo vivace si è rivelato!

La classe della St Andrew’s era piuttosto numerosa (e molto chiacchierona, proprio come noi!) e ci siamo divertiti tantissimo a parlare insieme in inglese. Grazie a tutta la pratica fatta per l’esame Cambridge Movers, eravamo prontissimi a fare un sacco di domande sulla vita a Londra — dal meteo a cosa mangiano a pranzo (a quanto pare non tutti mangiano pasta ogni giorno… incredibile, vero?).

Abbiamo parlato anche dei nostri hobby preferiti, degli sport e persino delle divise scolastiche — anche se non abbiamo ancora capito come facciano a portare la cravatta tutti i giorni senza farla finire nel panino.

La videochiamata è stata un vero successo: alla fine tutti avevano un enorme sorriso stampato in faccia. Possiamo dire con orgoglio che il nostro primo incontro internazionale con la St Andrew’s School è stata un’esperienza meravigliosa, piena di risate, curiosità e nuove amicizie.

Speriamo davvero che questa sia solo la prima tappa della nostra collaborazione con la St Andrew’s School di Londra — magari la prossima volta insegneremo noi a loro come si dice ciao come veri italiani!
